The Pledge

As County Attorney, I pledge:

  • Transgender people in custody are housed with the gender with which they identify and not in solitary confinement

  • Transgender people in custody have access to their necessary medical care while in custody

  • Transgender people in custody are referred to by their chosen name, if different from their legal name, where possible.

  • Prosecute bias and hate crimes against transgender people when they occur to the fullest extent of the law

  • Advocate for stronger protections for transgender people in custody throughout my district

  • Pursue action against employers and businesses in my district who discriminate against trans employees or patrons
