The Pledge:
As Governor of Minnesota, I pledge the following:
I will support:
Legislation that expands access to trans health
A ban on “normalization” surgeries for intersex children up to age 12
Contingency funding for trans health care providers whose federal funding is cut off
A prohibition on health care providers ending or pausing trans hormone care and/or surgeries if they provide those same services to cisgender people
A state stockpile of hormones in case the Trump administration inhibits supply
I will veto:
Any expansion on the ability to perform conversion therapy or a repeal of the existing ban
Any legislation that would restrict the free movement of transgender people, including bathroom usage
Any ban on trans people in sports, no matter the level.
Any legislation that mandates educators out transgender or LGB students to their parents/guardians, or interfering with educators’ abilities to recognize their students’ genders and pronouns
I will prioritize funding for:
The 2SLGBTQIA+ governor’s advisory council to ensure ongoing and continued conversation with the LGBT community in Minnesota.
